Note: This feature applies to properties using the Abode booking engine.
Abode's booking engine flexibility allows for many ways to create custom promos and prices. In this example, we are creating a promo price only available Tuesday - Thursday for the month of June. Guests need a promo code to access the discounted rates. The promo only applies to certain room types.
- Optional - Create a discount code by selecting Settings > Accommodation > Discount Options. Enter the code you wish to use (Item), enter a Description, select Price List, keep the amount set to 0.00. Select the Add + button.
- Create your promo price for specifc room types by selecting Settings > Accommodation > Accommodation Options. Select the Add + button. Enter the promo price name (use a generic name so you can re-use again) e.g. Double promo, select the Room type it is linked to, enter the base rate (this can be updated), and the number of persons. Select Save changes.
- Select Settings > Accommodation > Rate Setup to set the available dates. You can first delete any options that you don't require. Then select the Edit icon for your promo price.
Set the dates that you want the price to be available for and select Save Changes
- Select Inventory > Rates & Restrictions to set your rate for certain days of the week. Use the Bulk Update tool if required.
- When you're ready, select Settings > Accommodation > Accommodation Options to make live on your website booking engine.
- Repeat for each room type you wish to include.
- Once you have completed the initial set-up, it is easy to add new promos in the future using the Rate Setup screen. Set up new codes in Discount Options and link to your existing promo 'price types'.
