Request connection to Channex for Hostelworld


Note: Please ensure any unused room types in Hostelworld have been removed before connecting. If any types connect be removed because of forward bookings, ensure to apply a stop-sell after connection.

Send an email to supportoc@hostelworld.com and ensure you cc (copy in) support@abodebooking.com including the below information.


Subject line:


(Your Hostelworld property ID) + Property Name

Email content:


Please may I request to change my channel manager to Channex.


Property ID: (Enter property ID)

Property name: (Enter property name)


  • I can verify that the room types and rates in Hostelworld are correct
  • I can confirm that I have all of my new bookings
  • I would like to go ahead immediately


Please close my availability for the next 12 months whilst mapping is being configured. You will be alerted when my availability is ready to be opened again.

  1. Once Hostelworld have confirmed the connection you can proceed with mapping. In your Abode system, select Settings > Channex > Channels



  2. Select Create to create a new channel connection.



  3. Select Hostelworld from the channel list. Enter your admin username in the title field. Enter your Booking.com Hotel ID and select Test Connect. If connection is not successful please contact support@abodebooking.com.


  4. Once your account is connected select the Mapping tab.


  5. Select to match the type in Hostelworld column with the types in the Channel Manager column and select Save once complete.


  6. Select Actions to Activate the channel.
